What Goes Up Must Come Down

Well this was a week that I don't think I will soon forget. Many different experiences and different things that happened.

On Tuesday we met with a woman in our area and followed her to her home in a car. She said that she had really wanted to meet with us and that she had been searching for the missionaries for a long time. As we started going in the car I started to realize that we were leaving our area and ironically heading into my old area in Paynesville. Oops. She lives a little too far. We reached to her house a had a wonderful lesson with her and then told her that she was not actually living in our area so we would have to give her number to the other missionaries... Dang. Good thing we're all on the same team right?

We had a really nice Zone Conference on Wednesday. We talked a lot about the spirit and the role it plays in conversion. I was also asked to talk about the experience I had on my exchange with Elder Beinbein. Saw some friends and stuff.. It was really nice :)

Friday we went on exchange with the Assistants who proselyte in town. It was good, but the best part about the exchange honestly was their apartment. It's a lot nicer than ours because new missionaries stay there the first night when they come to Liberia and stuff so it's pretty sweet. I slept in air conditioning without a mosquito net! AND they have a MICROWAVE. Oh my gosh I was in heaven. I was seriously so happy I couldn't believe it. I didn't even sleep that well but who cares the room felt incredible! I have not slept in air conditioning or in a room that cold in about 17 months or so. Don't worry guys, I might come home one day.

Saturday was fine and then Sunday was rough. I won't go into details but you know how the law of gravity works. Oh man, I didn't go to church yesterday for the first time in over a year as well. With the good always comes the bad so no big deal. I'm trying now.

Today we cleaned the apartment and stuff. If you haven't noticed, we don't do much on Mondays here because there isn't that much to do besides play football (soccer). Everything is okay though :)

Much Love!

More Respect For Mama

Sup my people,

This week was pretty good. We had our MLC and I went on exchange with Elder Beinbein which was really nice. He's from Nigeria.

So I had the idea that we should have a fireside or program thing at the church to get people more excited about the gospel. It was great! However, everyone expected me to kind of do everything because it was my idea so it was really stressful. I had to take care of almost every aspect and so I was really concerned the whole time and worried if people would like it or not. It was a success and a lot of people liked it which was great. I gained a lot of respect and admiration for my mother because I have a little better understanding of why she always was worried about church programs and everything. It sucks when everyone leaves you to do everything! So I realized that she's really great for always doing that stuff. Mine wasn't even that great. She also had a birthday and I love her.

That's about it. Today I slept a lot. Love all of you!

Our new Mission President came and he is really great. He's a lot different than President Carlson but I relaly like him and look forward to getting to know him.

I'm happy and healthy and doing well.

A Week To...Thank God

Well my friends, another week has passed and we tell God thank you.

You know I'm not the kind of person that likes to be fake and tell you that everything is super amazing when it's not. This week wasn't that great and I don't really want to remember too much from it honestly haha. Everything is fine though and this coming week is going to be awesome! Missions aren't always supposed to be flowers and roses in my opinion so it's not really a bad thing. If Jesus Christ can suffer for the sins of each and every person on earth, then I can deal with a rough week.

The work is a little slow in this area right now. The rain makes things more difficult for people and also us in our work. We're doing our best though and we are praying that this week we'll see some more progress.

We did get a new mission president this week though which is really exciting! His name is President Clark. We're supposed to meet with him tomorrow so I don't really know too much about him yet. I'm expecting great things though! He's from Texas. They had already been serving a mission in Ghana when they got called so I'm sure that they were pretty well prepared.

Today we celebrated the fourth of July in Thinker Village and that was super fun! There was a ton of fried chicken and corn and garlic bread and happiness there. The best part is that we took all the bones and are going to feed them to the dogs in our compound when we get back. They are going to be so happy I don't think they'll know what to do with themselves!

Besides that everything is normal and good. Should be a pretty busy week so I'm happy that we get to mix things up a little bit. Liberia is a beautiful country and the only place that I want to be right now :)

Love you all,

Elder Bush
